3 signs its time to rebrand.

Hi there, I see you.

If you’ve been in business for any length of time there’ll come a point when your logo or branding starts to feel tired & outdated. You’ll feel like it’s just not hitting the mark anymore. You’ve changed your offerings or the way you work, or you want to attract a new type of client. You’re not excited by it anymore but not sure why or what to do. Maybe you DIY’d but it’s just not working out.

Here are 3 sure signs it’s time to level-up your brand design & hire a pro!

ONE

You feel like your logo & branding doesn't reflect the way you work or what you’re offering.

Maybe you’ve pivoted or completely changed your offerings since it was designed, maybe your business has evolved, most likely YOU have evolved.

Either way, the way your business looks just doesn’t feel right.

>>> Reflect on what stage you & your business were at when you started. Put yourself back in that mindset for a moment & do some journalling. Why did you make the choices you made? Did you DIY your design to save money? Were you scared to hand creative control to a designer? Did you work with a designer & how was the experience? Then bring yourself back to now. How do you feel about the way your business looks? What do you want to change? How do you want it to feel?

TWO

You’re dreaming of attracting a new type of client but they’re just not into it.

Brand design is about crafting a personality that attracts & speaks directly to the people you want to help.

Having an underwhelming brand design & an unclear message is a huge missed opportunity.

>>> Ask yourself if you have ever been really clear about your ideal client. How has that changed? Write an incredibly specific ideal client profile for your business including their name, age, where they live, their income, do they have kids or a partner? Where do they hang out in their spare time? Which social media platform do they use? What are their values & beliefs? How do they spend their money? Drill down as much detail as possible, then think about what that person needs & wants from you.

THREE

Your branding is hard for you to use & you struggle to keep it consistent.

As the business owner, your brand design should be something you can…

> believe in.

> energetically step into.

> use with a minimum of stress.

If it doesn’t tick those boxes your brand design might not be truly aligned with your values or your ideal future.

As a service-based business owner, your brand design should be an extension of the most wonderful & helpful aspects of yourself & your energy that you bring into your work. It doesn’t need to be a manifesto of your entire belief system or a shrine to your favourite colours. But the energy that’s most helpful to your clients really needs to shine through. If that's not happening, you won’t feel emotionally engaged or connected to your branding & if you don’t believe in it, don’t like it, don’t want to use it, then how can you expect anyone else to?
